Dreaming of Italy: Walking into a coffee bar

With Rome’s lockdown slowly easing off on May the 4th, we are a matter of days away from life in Italy beginning to reassemble the way it once was.

What have you missed most during this time in lockdown?

I am dreaming of walking into an Italian coffee bar and ordering a full on frothy no messing about creamy cappuccino, thank you very much and grazie mille. With chocolate on top. And then being tempted by all the delicious cakes on display to compliment my treat. I might even take my coffee to a table outside and watch the Italian world meander on by, or maybe stand at the bar rubbing shoulders with the local suited and booted.

It’s a ‘when in Rome’ must do daily Italian ritual, mornings most definitely are not the same without them.
